Arrival in Peru

After almost a year, I have returned to the Sacred Valley in Peru.

Last year I worked at various projects in South America. Since then, I have set up my own organisation to further support the projects I volunteer with in Latin America, in partnership with individuals and businesses in the UK; Step Forward.

In the last few days Step Forward has worked with the partner project to outline the needs of the community and we have put together a programme that will support the organic garden that provides vital nutrients for the children every day, and will also cover extra-circular classes for the children.

Ensuring that education is supported by nutrition is vital when working with children from disadvantaged communities. This programme will support the health and education of the children in a direct sense, as well as having the indirect effect of providing incentives for the children to attend school.

The programme is particularly important because the project was going to have to reduce the programme it offered the children but, through generous support from individuals, has been able to continue to provide services to help the children flourish. This is the school I worked at last year, and so feels incredibly special personally to continue to support the children who I have personal relationship with.

Thank you all so much for your support for your support with this.
